Description : This program will provide an in-depth study of what digital marketing is and why it's important. You will learn how digital marketing campaigns can be a cost effective and innovative means of communicating with the public and stakeholders, increasing product and services awareness and enhancing business relationships. A selection of tools available to digital marketers will be reviewed and some of the advantages and risks of using certain tools and technologies will be discussed. You will have an opportunity to explore various social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, blogs and more, and discover how you might use these tools in your own digital marketing campaigns.

Plan du programme
The Digital Marketing Certificate comprises the following five 1-day modules. If you want to pursue the Public Sector Digital Marketing designation, an additional sixth module is required to complete the certificate program. Please see the Public Sector Digital Marketing certificate program.
Intro to Digital Marketing
This module will provide an overview of what digital marketing is and why it's important. You'll learn how digital marketing campaigns can be a cost effective and innovative means of communicating with the public and stakeholders, increasing products and services awareness and enhancing business relationships. A selection of tools available to digital marketers will be reviewed and some of the advantages and risks of using certain tools and technologies will be discussed. You will have an opportunity to explore various social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more, and discover how you might use these tools in your own digital marketing campaigns.
Digital Content Development
There are myriad digital platforms and they all have different requirements when it comes to content. This module will delve into ways you can use content to foster brand loyalty and build trust with your audiences. You will learn about tools to create video, text, audio, and photography and learn best practices for creating exciting and engaging content across various channels such as blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and email. We'll also look at online advertising platforms such as Google Adwords and Facebook Ads and explore ways of integrating these content types into your overall digital strategy.
Measuring the results of your online campaigns is key to the success of any digital marketing strategy. This module will show you the importance of having a comprehensive measurement strategy, starting with figuring out what to measure and why, and delving into the best tools available to help you measure your digital marketing campaigns. We'll explore measurement tools such as Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics and Facebook Insights and discover how these tools can be used to effectively track results of your campaigns.
Mobile is the fastest growing segment of digital marketing. In this module, you will learn about key trends in mobile technology, how to optimize your web sites, email and other content for mobile marketing, and build an online strategy that leverages the features of mobile. This course will get you up to speed on everything you need to know about mobile marketing to integrate into your digital strategy. You'll learn the difference between mobile apps and mobile optimized web sites and when to use them, as well as exploring uses of technologies like SMS, QR codes and Bluetooth.
Developing a Digital Marketing Strategy
Successful digital marketing strategies are based on business goals and clearly defined outcomes. In this module you'll learn the importance of having a solid strategy and also learn about tactics that can be used to implement your strategies effectively. We'll explore how to select appropriate digital channels based on your audiences and track your campaigns to see how they are measuring up to your objectives. This course will provide a hands-on approach to developing strategies that you can use across a variety of different types of industries.
